TMAPPServe is the server app for your TMAPPSync clients in your local (home) environment. It has to be installed on one dedicated phone or tablet. Before purchasing TMAPPSync the server can be installed, configured, and tested without extra costs. The user interface layout of both apps are nearly the same. (New release, planned for Google Play Search: TMAPPServe)
Configuration
It is possible to set a new network port by touching the checkbox. In this case also the network interfaces are shown. Normally use the first IP4 address for the sync client and 127.0.0.1:port for a sync client on the same device for the client configuration.
Setting the secure checkbox will open a screen for the modification key (timestamp of last sync) and the initial key which can be left empty before the first synchronization happens. In this case it will be set automatically with a timestamp. For further clients this timestamp has to be set during the client configuration. All clients and the server have to use the same initial key.
Please be aware, if the server device is in sleep mode it might be possible that the server is not reachable by the clients. The server can be restarted by touching "Start Server" on the main screen.
The server will be started automatically at boot time. On the first start it creates the database. If the database is deleted later by the Android app management setup, it will be recreated automatically if there are synchronized contacts on a sync client. But the configuration parameters (initial key and port) have to be set again according the client configuration.
